The last bit of our trip was jam-packed, and we didn't get an update out. Saturday night we went to an evening market with Brian and Abby Lindsey, newer International Workers in Thailand, and their 3 kids. We even ate crickets! Sunday was amazing. We did a double-header at church. We did Sunday School and church service in Ban Phaeo and then had a fellowship lunch. We then did Sunday School and church service in Mahachai, followed by fellowship dinner...we never went hungry, that's for sure! For both churches, Solomon and Josephine did the music, Heidi shared her testimony, and Caleb preached. God really used the message from all of it to touch people at church. We even got an email later from Ed and Sue telling us about a lady who had attended and that was the exact message she needed! Praise God! The rest of the week was filled with fellowship and fun. Josephine and Solomon helped to paint part of Pastor Sukprasan and Eve's kitchen while some others did an evangelism walk and a couple visitations to people's homes. We visited the Gulf of Thailand and had dinner by the water. We hosted another English Camp at a school that was previously closed to the church. They loved what we did so much, they already invited the church back for a Christmas performance! We finished our last day in Mahachai by going to the mangroves, an aquarium, and a pizza place to celebrate Sue's birthday. We we're glad to rejoin with the other half of our team. We all had a lot of stories to tell. We know that will continue for a long time. We enjoyed a river tour together, traveled via the sky train, and had dinner at the Bayoke Tower. We finally just touched down in Chicago and are looking forward to making it back to Watertown!

On the last day in Kohn Kaen, the team handed out a couple of soccer balls to use at the bible college. The soccer balls were donated by the Watertown Soccer Club and were a big hit. We also handed out fun dresses to the kids on campus. The dresses were sewn by the ladies at RVAC and the girls loved them.
This is a picture from the team of them praying for family and friends at home as they knew we were experiencing bad weather... So thankful for their faithfulness!
This was the start of work on June 26th. It felt good to see projects coming to completion, as we could see all that had been accomplished in such a short time. Even though we will be leaving shortly, we can see the Lord's hand in all that is happening with this project. Please continue to pray for this church and the ongoing projects that are happening there.
Another Note from John over the weekend... We ended work early for Saturday so that the church could be cleaned and ready for worship, but still made good progress with all 3 rooms almost completed. We had some seminary student help from 2 students assigned to the church. We definitely can see how the Lord is working through our Unity of Faith Teams. Please continue to pray!
John had received a message from Heidi about a fire that is happening where the Ed/Sue team are. The team is ok but they asked for prayer for the surrounding people. Let us lift them up today before the Lord. Thank you!
We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday in Thailand starting with Sunday morning worship, where we were blessed to hear Chris preaching and Debbie Translating. After the service, we were honored to do some gift exchanges and participated in a special lunch. During that lunch, we experienced and accepted our first silk worm challenge. I am sure Sandy will tell you it was delicious! Photo opportunities were also taken after the lunch.
We also had a wonderful time with the girls and House Mom's at Remember Nhu where we presented soccer balls that were donated, played games, heard the girls sing beautifully and presented bracelets. Please pray for the girls who have been rescued; Mai, Noot, Fa, J and M. We also ask you to pray for their house Mom's; Praew and Na. Team Ed/Sue... Last night we enjoyed our prayer meeting with Thai nationals as well as various foreigners who have settled in Thailand. Today, we held a kids outreach event at the church in Baan Paeo. We had 12 kids between the ages of 4 and 4th grade. We shared the story of the Prodigal Son with a skit and then did a fun craft with them.
After that, we met up with a wonderful Thai Christian who has served faithfully with this church. Her name is Nun. She has closed her hair salon to attend our events with us trusting that God will provide customers when she is open. She shares Jesus with absolutely everybody who walks through her door. She's been eyeing us all up this week and had plans for new hair cuts for us all. There will be less of the team returning to America! The team enjoyed a day off from renovations to travel to the city of NongKai. As you can see from the smiling faces, the visit to the NongKai Market, and a little retail therapy, was a refreshing change of pace. They also had an opportunity to tour the CMA Thailand National offices and have fun at a birthday celebration for Wangchai.
Tomorrow we will post updated pictures of the construction projects and how they are coming along. Keep checking back to see what Team Vik is up to...Continued prayers are always welcome! Today was one of our favorite days! We are finally starting to feel over jet lag, and we got to go to an elementary school in Baan Paeo and teach English. They were so gracious and excited for us to be there. They had a giant banner with our faces on it to welcome us. We taught various English lessons to the students, taught them the song "Deep and Wide," and we were able to explain the Gospel to all the students IN A BUDDHIST TEMPLE! God has an unbelievable plan. We were not scheduled to be in there, but our plans got changed because of the rain we've had. We preached the Gospel in front of a giant Buddha statue. The name of Jesus was echoing through the hall. All the students were given a wordless book and bracelet to help them remember the Gospel. Pastor's wife, Eve, explained the Gospel to them, and the kids were so engaged and remembered the entire Gospel. We then gifted the school with a new computer, and they gave us a basket of fresh fruit and some chili paste. We were able to give all the students gift bags that the sewing group from church made that we had filled with American gifts and Thai tracts. We are enjoying an afternoon to try some new Thai food and rest a little before we have an English prayer meeting at church with Pastor Sukprasan.
